Sharm
el Sheikh is known as the jewel of the Sinai, with a history stretching
back thousands of years, cultural tours and year of the sun. The simplicity
of sun, sea and sand is a perfect combination that attracts tourists
to this beautiful city. One of the most accessible and developed tourist
communities on the Sinai peninsula, it has all the amenities, one could
expect from a tourist centre, including casinos, discos and nightclubs,
golf courses and health institutions. Water sports with poles diving,
sailing and snorkeling activities are preferred.
LOCATION Sharm el-Sheikh is an Egyptian city located at the southern tip of the Sinai peninsula. The city is framed with the Red Sea on one side and the mountains of Sinai, on the other. HOW TO REACH It can be accessed either through Sharm el-Sheikh airport or down the east coast of Eliat through Nuweiba and Dahab. The places of interest Na 'WADA Bay Sharm el Sheikh located just north of, Na 'ama Bay, with its beautiful beach is a tourist centre. The waterfront boasts a beautiful alley paved, and lined with bougainvillea and oleanders, following along the bay. The coast is dotted with resorts and hotels, which have their own private beaches. This is where you will find many shops, restaurants, bars and the famous 'sheesha 'cafes. Ras Um Sid Cliff This is the cliff top which connects Na 'ama Bay and the Bay of Sharm El Maya. Ras Um Sid is centrally located and offers a spectacular view of the port. The area is known for its coral reefs. Sharm El Maya The picturesque bay is a natural port and home to many small boats. The beautiful sandy beach has an abundance of palm trees providing shade for natural deckchairs. It also functions as a first dive location. It has rooms for vessels, including a Yacht Club with rooms. |
